Hey, I'm running for President of Clubs, stop by and vote for me. Or don't, I don't care. No, do.

April in Paris! Yay, sis. Your rue Jacob location is perfect. You might want to ride the Batobus - a river taxi that is pretty cheap and convenient. Definitely go to the Pont des Arts to watch the sun set into the Seine. Every Tuesday there is a free fashion show at Galeries Lafayette - a gorgeous department store. Don't miss the Orangerie Museum in the Tuilleries garden (Monet's huge lily ponds). One very touristy item that is still thrilling: book a table at Altitude 95 - the less expensive restaurant on the Eiffel Tower (they have a website and accept reservations over the phone in perfect English). Ask what time the Tower lights come on and book then - it's magical.

Oh - the French do wear tennis shoes, but the low profile type and NEVER white. I find clogs the most comfortable on cobblestones. I have some in black suede (stylish , not clunky) with a neoprene type sole.

Lots of tips and a chat forum at BonjourParis.com. Enjoy your trip.
